Mike and Frank Maraldo immigrated to the United States from Italy in 1949 with a dream. This dream was to create a better life for them. The two brothers had the same visions but embarked upon different paths starting two tile and terrazzo companies in direct competition with one another.

Mike Maraldo started Southern Tile & Terrazzo Co., Inc. in 1960. Utilizing his Italian craftsmanship, artistic abilities, and hard work with the vision of creating a company that would stand for the highest quality of workmanship and reliability.

In the early 1970's, Frank Maraldo closed his Venetian terrazzo company and joined his brother Mike at Southern Tile & Terrazzo Co., Inc., to become a force in the greater Houston area.

Mike Maraldo served as president of Southern Tile & Terrazzo Co., Inc. from its inception until 1990 passing the title over to his son, Michael Maraldo. The character and beliefs that he installed in Michael were simple; take care of your business, take care of your employees, and, always do the highest quality of work.

The Maraldos, Maraldo relatives and associates take pride in their work and a job well done. Our motivation is that past jobs represent our quality of performance, but, you are never better than your last job. That is the job that everyone will remember.
